30 seconds tracks a live match closely. 1–2 minutes suits a full slate of games. Hard refresh if the site shows old numbers.
Watch for the moment (optional)
Keywords like "GOAL" or your player's name, or a Watch Zone on your fantasy total — get pinged only when the number moves.
Keep the countdown visible
The on-page timer shows exactly how old the score is — readable from the couch.

Won't the site update scores by itself?
The big ones do. But a surprising number of fantasy platforms, league tables and smaller-competition sites only update when you reload. If you've ever caught yourself pressing F5 on it, it's a candidate.
Can I get an alert only when the score changes?
Yes — draw a Watch Zone around the score itself. The clock and stats change constantly, so the zone is what keeps alerts meaningful.
Does this work on a TV browser for a wall scoreboard?
Anywhere Chrome runs. Full-screen the tab, turn on the visual timer, and set an auto-start rule so the scoreboard arms itself on game day.
Multiple games at once?
One tab per game, or one tab on the overview page — your choice. Each tab has its own speed, so the big game can run at 30 seconds while the rest tick along at 2 minutes.
